Compliance with IRDA rules


The insurance companies in India have to comply with the rules and regulations of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) regarding the following

1. preparation of financial statements

2. preparation of management report

3. disclosure requirements

4, present or detailed report of the share of shareholding of the current and previous year.

5. Presenting the percentage of foreign holding in the insurance companies

6.with regard to general insurance companies, making a predicate reserved as specified by the regulator.

7.  investment of funds from this reserved according to the specified norms.

8. declaring the total risk exposure of the companies

9. presenting the strategy adopted to mitigate the risk.
